Ratha Yatra 2017

Well, the famous Ratha Yatra is known to all. Melaghar Ratha is the 2nd tallest after Mahesh Ratha in West Bengal in the whole country. Although the matter is not so popular among the rest population of India.

 25th June, 2017   with thousands of peoples the biggest festival held at Jagannath bari field, Melaghar. Hundreds of stall booked there with outer states also.
 The fair continued upto 12 am night with same amount of peoples.

Diveded into North, Central and South Market.  The market usually crowded all times; specially in Tuesday, because Tuesday is an important day for all the shop dealers as the day known as Market Day (হাট বার ) locally. Thursday shops remains closed as the day known as Close Day locally. All the regular using things found here in Market, from North to South. River Gumati

Gumati is the most popular and important river in the Indian state Tripura. Originated from Atharamura and Longhtorai mountain range near Domboor is 133 kms long and flew over Amarpur, Udaipur, Melaghar , Sonamura town and at last linked to Meghna river in Bangladesh. The river creates a dam in Domboor lake near Amarpur. The river has its own importance as because it helps many local villagers and farmers to cross the river with their wealth such as important Bamboos and other forest wealth, as some of the villages doesn't have a suitable roads to commute. Also some new and re-built bridges are now there across some towns and in villages, that helps peoples a lot.
