Melaghar Class XII School or known as Melaghar Boy's School is the most important school all over the town. Situated about 200 meters from netaji corner is a Higher Govt. Secondary School.

Nowadays the Boy's School name not applying because as some girls are also studying in the school instead of studying at there school, Melaghar Girls High School. Girls School seems doesn't have some education systems and qualities for the students after 10th standard, so they have to visit boy's school to continue their studies.

 There are currently  500+ students active in the school with an average of 80% presence. Teachers also present here with suitable ratio for the students. The school is affiliated to Tripura Board of Secondary Examination. There is a field famous for activity sports, Sahid Kajal Maidan, locally known as Boy's field.

Neer Mahal Neer mahal  (নীরমহল) (meaning "Water palace") is a former royal palace built by King  Bir Bikram Kishore Debbarman  of the erstwhile  Kingdom of Tripura ,India in the middle of the lake Rudrasagar in 1930 and was completed by 1938 . It is situated in  Melaghar , 53 kilometers away from the  Agartala , the capital of  Tripura . The palace is situated in the middle of  Rudrasagar Lake  and assimilates  Hindu  and  Muslim  architectural styles. The palace is the largest of its kind in  India  and the only one in Eastern India. There are only two water palace in India another one is the  Jal Mahal  in  Rajasthan.
